GOT LOVE SONGS IN MY HEAD...

...killing us away. Who says Manson can´t celebrate Valentine´s Day? In fact, there have been numerous times in which he has released some very rare material, or easter eggs during this holiday. (You can read more on this exclusive article).

But we´ll leave you with this selection of "love songs" you can share with your "loved ones".

1. SWEET TOOTH

From the Album: Portrait Of An American Family, 1994.

Although much of the songs navigate through the paraphernalia Manson grew up with along with some obvious references to Charles Manson, the lyrics are so damn good.

2. I PUT A SPELL ON YOU.

From the Album: Smells Like Children, 1995

Sung originally by "Screamin" Jay Hawkins this has been one of the best covers and it was also included in the soundtrack for the movie Lost Highway, from director David Lynch.

3. TOURNIQUET.

From the Album: Antichrist Superstar, 1996.

So who cares if your ideal woman is "made of hair and bone and little teeth and things I cannot speak"?

4.  MAN THAT YOU FEAR.

From the Album: Antichrist Superstar, 1998.

So why do we choose this as a love song? Because it also works as an "anti-love song" which carries a profound message of grief.

5.  MECHANICAL ANIMALS

From The Album: Mechanical Animals, 1998.

A song which lyrics are similar or parallel to those of Tourniquet, the song is a sad yet powerful almost synthpop, rock ballad which never goes out of style.

6.  FUNDAMENTALLY LOATHSOME.

From The Album: Mechanical Animals, 1998.

Get lost inside this raw love song which takes us back to the 70s glam rock scene.

7.  THE LOVE SONG.

From the Album: Holywood, 2000.

No, it´s not a love song but the concept of Holywood is much more complex, because it denounces the other desires of a society that´s obsessed with violence.

8. VALENTINE´S DAY.

From the Album: Holywood, 2000.

According to story behind the Triptych albums ADAM choose Valentine´s Day as the perfect date to start his revolution in order to destroy the fictional city of Holywood, but there´s nothing romantic about it.

9.  SLUTGARDEN.

From the Album: The Golden Age Of Grotesque, 2003.

Cabaret scenes, creepy burlesque dancers that take all the way back to the 1930s, and in this universe we find this slutty song that´s anything but sweet.

10.  TAINTED LOVE.

From the Album: The Golden Age Of Grotesque, 2003.

It´s incredible how this song from the one-hit wonder from Soft Cell managed to get even more attention in the hands of Manson.

11.  HEART SHAPED GLASSES.

From the Album: EAT ME, DRINK ME, 2007.

Manson chooses a Lolita inspired muse as a back story for this video which pays tribute to his former girlfriend, Evan. Life imitates art?

12. PRETTY AS A SWASTIKA

From The Album: The High End Of Low, 2009.

"When I see you in the sun you´re as pretty a swastika", what a rather unusual compliment...

13. UNKILLABLE MONSTER.

From The Album: The High End Of Low, 2009.

Parallel to his breakup this one has the typical love-hate situations you may haver heard on his previous love songs. "Are we in love or are we in pain"? :(

14.  I WANNA KILL YOU LIKE THEY DO IN THE MOVIES.

From The Album: The High End Of Low, 2009.

What a better way to seduce a girl than to threaten to kill her? A darker, more experimental track.

15.. 15.

From The Album: The High End Of Low, 2009.

So who cares if we´re alone on your birthday, or any other day of the week? At least we have ourselves. Sad, yet very deep lyrics.

And remember, love isn´t just celebrated on Valentine´s Day, it lasts forever...
